On March 1, 2004, Kid Writing author Eileen Feldgus tragically and suddenly lost her beautiful, bright and loving granddaughter, Amanda, to Influenza B. Sadly, Amanda was just 4 1/2 years old - the age we all love so much - the age of the children who have benefited most from Eileen's life work. The Amanda Kanowitz Foundation has been established in order to save other children and spare other families the devastating tragedy of losing a child.
