Kindergarten Construction Site

Take photos of the children's block creations and they won't be as reluctant to dismantle them at clean up time. The kids then write stories to go with the photos.  These writing samples were done in September and October. Most were group projects.

Harold and the Purple Crayon

After reading Harold and the Purple Crayon, have the children draw and write their own purple crayon adventure stories.  Scan the book's cover and include with the display.

April Fools!

After modeling an April Fools joke with the morning message, I had the kids do their own jokes for anyone who might walk by and read their writing.  They had a ball and were quite creative with this!
